“To engineer a better society, we need people of different genders, races, and backgrounds solving our problems.”
In a groundbreaking shift for the industry, women now constitute over 50% of our workforce—an unprecedented milestone. This transformation has been made possible under the visionary leadership of Ms. Preeti Saboo, a well-known feminist and a prominent advocate for women’s empowerment in Rajasthan.
Ms. Saboo has played a pivotal role in driving gender equality at our new industrial unit in Bagru. As she puts it, “I do believe in gender equality, but I unabashedly support the fairer sex in our new industrial unit at Bagru. From my experience, women here have shown greater eagerness to learn, develop new skills, and adapt to an environment vastly different from their traditional roles. Their commitment and loyalty are truly commendable.”
Her leadership extends beyond our organization. For the past five years, Ms. Saboo has actively participated in the Rajasthan Budget Meet, offering valuable insights and policy suggestions to enhance the role of women in industrial development—recommendations that have consistently been well-received.
Currently, we are working towards a bold vision: transitioning the traditionally male-dominated power sector into a more inclusive workforce with at least 51% female representation. By creating equal opportunities for all, we aim to uplift employment rates, raise literacy levels, and strengthen human capital—all within the framework of limited economic resources.
As part of our ongoing sustainability initiatives, we have launched an ambitious Plantation Drive, aimed at restoring and enriching the green cover around our facilities and beyond. With a focus on long-term ecological benefit, we have planted nearly 2,000 lemon and teak trees, known not only for their environmental value but also for their ability to thrive in the regional climate. These species help in carbon sequestration, improve soil quality, and support biodiversity.
We recognize that manufacturing is inherently energy-intensive, and with that comes a responsibility to minimize our environmental footprint. At Engineers Enterprise, we are proud to generate 70% of our total energy consumption through clean, renewable solar power.
With a 250-kilowatt solar panel system installed at our facility, we ensure that our energy generation process is free from toxic emissions, water pollution, or waste contamination. This transition not only contributes to a healthier environment but also significantly reduces our operational costs.
The resulting savings from solar energy have enabled us to reinvest in research and development, driving innovation and continuous improvement in our processes and products. Through this sustainable model, we are not only reducing our carbon footprint but also enhancing our competitiveness.
We take immense pride in being a forward-thinking, energy-efficient industry—setting a benchmark for responsible manufacturing in the power sector.
