What is an Instrument Transformer?

Instrument transformers are devices used in electrical power systems to safely measure high currents and voltages by stepping them down to standardized, lower levels. They provide isolated, accurate signals for meters, relays, and protection devices without exposing them to dangerous high voltages or currents.
